Elementary School Age Opportunities

Riverside offers a structured, therapeutic after-school program for children from the Somerville and Cambridge area ages 6-12 that present with significant emotional and/or behavioral challenges.

We are an academic and social enrichment program committed to quality and to supporting children as they continue on their path of personal growth and education.

Our classrooms are designed to link the school-day and after-school experiences for children and families enrolled in the King Open School.

We offer a wide inventory of adult clothing and children's toys and resources.

We host activities for kids outdoors and indoors, including those that are open to the public and some tailored specifically to Boy Scouts.

Kids in grades K-8 will explore exciting technologies, enjoy outdoor activities, and make new friends! Tech Explorers, LEGO® BattleBots®, Drones and Bots, Minecraft Makers and more. June 10 to Aug 30.

Summer Fun is a full-day program that runs all summer long. Swimming lessons, sports, art, science, reading and group games are a sampling of activities.

We provide language and interpretation classes, youth programs, multicultural community events, and other supports for immigrant families, regardless of status.

We support children and their families through the early childhood communities that care for them such as early childhood teachers, directors, and family childcare providers.

Our teen support text line connects young people up to age 24 with a peer they can talk to when they feel lonely, depressed, overwhelmed, or suicidal.

We offer a nature-inspired summer camp with lots of outdoor fun including arts, crafts, hiking, outdoor games, and more!

Enjoy a selection of local, family-owned and operated food trucks every Tuesday through Thursday in the Kendall/MIT Open Space, with plenty of outdoor seating options available!

We offer campers a fun way to spend their summer exploring their favorite subjects and activities with our classic, specialty, and sports summer camps!

Despite their small size, arthropods are some of the world’s mightiest creatures. Discover their amazing diversity at Arthropods: Creatures That Rule, with a new addition featuring ants and termites.

Dazzling minerals await you at the Harvard Museum of Natural History's Earth & Planetary Sciences Gallery! New to the collection is a unique assortment of egg-shaped minerals.

We offer fun, high energy martial arts classes for ages 5 to 13.

Our Cambridge summer camps are for children ages 8-13, especially including beginners! Discover the Olympic sport of fencing - no experience required, full fencing gear is provided at no cost.

We are a community music school hosting a summer musical theater performance and music lessons for children.

We bring robotics, coding, engineering, and design into your child's summer and future! We also have an afterschool studio with open enrollment or monthly memberships available.

Kroka is a wilderness expedition school for young people based on an organic farm in Marlow, New Hampshire.

We offer STEM programs at various locations across New Hampshire, Vermont, and Massachusetts to children ages 4-13.

We provide a fun and inclusive introduction to the great sport of hockey!

We provide comprehensive support to the parents and caregivers of youth with mental health challenges, as well as their children, through a variety of coaching, childcare, and community-building programs.

We host a vibrant summer day camp for children ages 18 months to 11 years. This summer we’re excited to offer both traditional and specialized day-camps for different age groups.
