STEAM, Homelessness Supports, Disabilities and Special Needs

The Office of Student Services (OSS) includes a variety of services, supports and programs dedicated to ensuring equitable access and success for students with disabilities.

We provide lunch at noon every day and a continental breakfast six days each week through our drop-in Day Shelter. We also have an on-site health clinic with dental, psychiatric, and medical support.

We support no, low, and moderate income residents with housing needs including housing stabilization, mediation and dispute resolution, and stewardship for Cambridge affordable condo associations.

We offer a wide range of engaging, affordable, and high-quality classes to adults in a welcoming, creative community. In-person, online, and hybrid options are available.

A home visiting programs' primary purpose is to support and encourage parents and caregivers, share information, and connect families with resources in their home and/or a convenient location.

Keep The Keys is a housing stabilization program for On The Rise participants who transition out of homeless and into housing of their own.

We can help you with many housing-related services, including signing up for the Cambridge Affordable Housing list, preventing eviction, resolving issues with property managers, and more.

We help people apply for and resolve problems with Social Security, SSI, SSDI, TAFDC, and EAEDC.

We currently provide lists of resources, information, and legal advice for people of color and immigrants.

Supporting youth with special needs in afterschool/summer programming.

We offer a variety of services, supports and programs dedicated to ensuring equitable access and success for students who have a documented risk of regression during the summer months.

We promote Community, Housing, Access, and Independence for children and adults of all abilities, strengths, and needs.

Our drop-in is open to eight people at a time. Check website for updated hours. Use a computer, cook in the kitchen, get help from a volunteer, pick up food & supplies, T-passes, clothing closet.

We issue temporary Cambridge disability parking permits to residents and individuals who work in Cambridge.

Contact the MSC if you are living on the street, in emergency shelters or at risk of losing your housing and need help.

When people come in we can help them use their digital devices (smartphones, tablets, computers), apply for services online, learn digital literacy and safety/privacy tips.

We restore and protect the green spaces in urban areas like the one around Magazine Beach along the Charles River. in spring and summer we invite people to enjoy the site and host community events.
