Participants are typically assigned a mentor in January, the program continues for 6 months and ends in June.
Additional information
In this program, we will provide resources to both mentors and mentees in cultivating their professional relationships and bringing value to their mentoring experience. We have been extremely successful in building relationships between women and allies measured by their ability to take the next step in their career as a direct result of entering this program. Started in 2013, the Women Accelerator’s mentoring program has grown larger each year!
Mentees are paired with a mentor based on their application materials. Mentees typically look for guidance on topics such as career advancement, gender roles, leadership skills, and communication strategies with their management. We think that this is an effective way to help women and their careers at a time when it is much needed.
Our mentoring program applications start in the fall each year. Mentors and mentees are expected to meet at least once a month starting in January and running through June; although many mentors and mentees continue the relationship long after the program is over.
