JAS partners with the IRS to offer on-site Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) tax prep services free of charge for families earning less than $54,000 per year.

This program runs during the school year.

Morning and Afternoon.

We offer free tax preparation services by trained volunteers from the first week in February to the week before taxes are due (second week of April). Please see our flyer for more specific information about times, locations, and directions for participating.

Additional information

Through this program, JAS ensures that filers receive all available tax credits and avoid high-cost tax preparation services. In 2019, tax services begin January 22nd and run through April 15th. We also accept adult volunteers to assist in tax preparation after an 8-hour training program.
