Additional information

Our program staff will coordinate and facilitate fun and engaging outdoor activities in nearby green spaces, based on the sport of orienteering. Orienteering is a recreational and olympic level sport - participants use a map to find a series of checkpoints. Since there is no mandatory route, the participants determine where they need to go and how to get there. Orienteering has a strong community aspect that encourages planning for and acknowledging errors, sharing, supporting one another and iterating again. Individuals translate these orienteering skills into everyday life situations.
