Additional information
The world outside can be hard, but you deserve respect and a safe space to talk about the concerns you may be facing. Here you can talk with our all-LGBTQIA+ volunteers, find resources, and community to empower you on your journey forward. Our hotlines provide a confidential safe space where callers of any age can speak about sexual orientation or gender identity/expression issues. This includes coming out issues, relationship concerns, bullying, workplace issues, HIV/AIDS anxiety, safer sex information, suicide, and much more. Sometimes you just need to be heard. We’re here. You deserve respect, support, affirmation, and acceptance. We don't give advice, and we never tell you what you should do. Ultimately, those choices are yours to make, but we are here to help you on your journey.
The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) National Help Center, founded in 1996, is a non-profit, tax-exempt organization that provides vital peer support, community connections, and resource information. Our services focus on sexual orientation and/or gender identity and expression. We are the oldest and most comprehensive national organization of its type and scope in the United States, providing critically needed services regardless of age or geographic location. We care deeply about confidentiality. We understand that what is discussed with us is private, which is why we make the promise that your conversations are not shared with any outside party. Calls and chats are not recorded. We help youth and adults with coming-out issues, safer-sex information, school bullying, family concerns, relationship problems, and a lot more. The people who turn to us for help often live in rural and conservative parts of the country and are frequently feeling severely isolated, closeted and despairing, with literally no one else safe to talk to.

We also maintain a 1-on-1 Online Peer-Support Chat and moderated Youth Chat Rooms for LGBTQ Teens and Trans Teens.
