We provide a rigorous bilingual education in French and English in an inclusive, Preschool to 12th Grade environment that is filled with cultural experiences and promotes flexible, global mindsets.

Ages: 2 to 18.
Children enrolling in Maternelle do not need to speak French. Students applying to Toute Petite Section (TPS) must be two years old by September 1st of their entry year. Students applying to Pre-K, Mid-K, and Kindergarten must be three, four, and five years old, respectively, by December 31st of their entry year.
In Grades 1 through 8, students can still enroll knowing only English. ISB has two Upper School tracks, one taught primarily in French and one taught in English. French is not required to enroll except for the student’s language requirement.

To begin the application process, start by completing our Inquiry Form (via Ravenna). Families within travel distance are encouraged to attend an in-person event or Shadow Day, we also offer virtual events and information sessions for families from around the world. Our application timeline is as follows:
- February 15th: Application deadline for priority review
- March 10th: Decisions released to families
- April 10th: Deadline to confirm enrollment at ISB for the following year

The International School of Boston’s historic campus is located at the intersection of Cambridge, Somerville, and Arlington, Massachusetts - just minutes from downtown Boston and easily accessible by public transportation, walking, or biking. Cambridge residents can use the Cambridge Public School (CPS) bus system for free. ISB also has three bus routes: Boston (serving downtown and Charlestown), Lexington (serving Newton, Belmont, Lexington, and Arlington), and Winchester (serving Winchester, Woburn, and points north).
Dates and Times
This program runs during the school year.
All doors open at 7:30 AM and close at 6:00 PM.
- The Maternelle day is from 8:15 AM to 3:00 PM, with after-school programs until 6:00 PM.
- The Lower School day is from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with after-school programs available until 6:00 PM.
- The Middle and Upper School day is from 8:00 AM to 3:25 PM, although some classes may extend beyond 3:30 PM. Extracurriculars run until 5:30 PM.
