February Vacation: Cooking with STEAM!

Cambridge Camping provides middle school children with an in-person STEAM-centered cooking program during the February school vacation week.

Cambridge Camping provides programs for children and families from under-resourced circumstances in Cambridge and surrounding communities.  Eligibility for enrollment in this program may be determined based on household size and income.  The online enrollment process will ask families to submit documentation to verify household income to be reviewed by Cambridge Camping staff.

Cost

$50.00 covers the entire week of programming.

Additional information

Participants will explore the science, technology, engineering, art and math of cooking. Ingredients and supplies are provided. Participants will experiment with the properties of baking ingredients to figure out how cookies are made, scientifically produce the perfect soft boiled egg, and use natural fermentation to make bread and churn butter.  These are just some of the experiences middle schoolers will enjoy in this fun filled (and tasty) week.

This program runs Monday through Friday, including President's Day on Feb 19.
