Cambridge Girls Softball League fields teams for Spring, Summer, and Fall Seasons. No prior experience needed to play at any of the levels – just a willingness to learn, try your best, and have fun.

Sign-up Information

Ages: 7 to 14.

Gender-specific.

League eligibility is determined by player's age as of August 31st.

For Fall Leagues: Ages 5-14

For Spring Leagues: Ages 5-16

Minor Leagues: Ages 8 – 11 (If you were born on or after September 1, 2012, you can play in the Minors)

Cambridge Cardinals 12U and 14U - City/Town League (half of games in Cambridge, half in neighboring towns)
Eligibility cut-off dates are August 31st.

Cambridge Girls Softball Registration Information (by Season)

Summer registration begins in May. Go to our website, and click on Registration button. Please provide payment within the designated window to guarantee participation. Teams are capped at 15 players. You'll be notified of successful registration as soon as you submit the form.

Fall registration starts mid-August. Spring registration opens in January. We are a 100% Volunteer lead league, and we are always interested in coaches/assistant coaches. (Contact Steve McAuliffe at (stepmca@comcast.net))

Cost

The anticipated cost for summer season is $50. Cost can vary slightly year to year, we rely on sponsors and donations to keep the league running and costs down for players.

Location

The program location changes over time.

In-person only.

Transportation is not provided but it's possible to arrange carpooling with other teammates.

Summer Season: Home games at Danehy Field, Away games in nearby towns.
Fall Season: Home games at Danehy Field, Away games in surrounding towns.
Spring Season: T-ball & 10U Minors - Cambridge; 12U and 14U Travel - Cambridge & surrounding towns.

Dates and Times

This program runs during the school year.

Every day.

Evening.

Summer 2025 Season: end of June - mid August, games are in the evening, typically around 6:00PM
Fall Travel Softball: September - October, Sundays at 9:00AM, games at 10:30AM
Spring 2025 Softball: April - June, Monday-Friday (varies), Games start around 5:45PM and end by 8:00PM.

Additional information

Cambridge Girls Softball League fields teams for Summer, Fall, and Spring Seasons. Additionally, we host Winter Skills Clinics so players can enhance their skills during the winter months. No prior experience needed to play at any of the levels – just a willingness to learn, try your best, and have fun. All are welcome! Activities include batting, throwing, fielding and more. Typically the following options are available, though they vary year to year:

Tee-ball (5-7): Spring only
Minor League (8-11): Spring Only
10U Travel Team: Summer & Fall
12U & 14U Travel Teams: Spring, Summer, Fall
