Additional information

A large-scale textile series, Soft City features tactile tapestries that bring to light historic discriminatory practices as well as current issues of social and environmental justice in three different Boston-area neighborhoods: Roxbury, Dorchester, and East Cambridge.

The artists will be joined by practitioners who work within local institutions to engage in conversations about placemaking and design agency in Cambridge and Boston.
