For Cambridge residents with children in grades K-8 who are applying to DHSP Afterschool Programs Lottery, those who want in-person help can visit our office to complete your online application.
Sign-up Information
- Ages: 5 to 14.
- Grades Kindergarten through 8th grade.
- Cambridge residents only.
- Wheelchair accessible.
Eligibility is based on grade level. Children must be Cambridge residents entering K-8th grade in September.
No application or registration needed.

Application support events are free to attend. DHSP Afterschool Programs may have a cost associated for families that are given a spot and accept.

Additional information
The Department of Human Service Programs (DHSP) offers four afterschool program models designed to develop children’s social and emotional growth and build healthy relationships. Programs are open to children entering Kindergarten - 8th grade.
The Afterschool Lottery application opens in April for the upcoming school year. Additional information is available at www.cambridgema.gov/AfterschoolLottery.
