Additional information
Join curatorial fellow Cambra Sklarz to examine the appearance, properties, and uses of a variety of materials employed by John Singer Sargent. We’ll examine his objects made with oil paint, charcoal, ink, graphite, and watercolor on canvas, a variety of papers, and other supports, pausing to consider how each material creates distinct effects and can inform different artistic goals.
