Please arrive 15 minutes before the start of the program to allow sufficient time to sign in at the Art Study Center reception desk (Level 4), and be prepared to present a photo ID.

Additional information

Join curatorial fellow Cambra Sklarz to examine the appearance, properties, and uses of a variety of materials employed by John Singer Sargent. We’ll examine his objects made with oil paint, charcoal, ink, graphite, and watercolor on canvas, a variety of papers, and other supports, pausing to consider how each material creates distinct effects and can inform different artistic goals.
